Later today, Y.B. Foreign Minister will have an audience with His Majesty  King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand at Klai Kangwol Palace in Hua Hin. Together joining the audience will be Datin Seri Masnah Rais, Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Dato' Shaarani Ibrahim and spouse and Dato' Ramlan Ibrahim, Undersecretary South East Asia Division, Wisma Putra.

 

 

Y.B. Foreign Minister will also have a delegation meeting with his counterpart, His Excellency Noppadon Pattama, Foreign Minister of Thailand tomorrow.  Aside from providing the opportunity to build rapport with Thai leaders as well as discuss progress in bilateral relations, discussions between Y.B. Foreign Minister and Thai leaders would focus on how to enhance bilateral relations between Malaysia and Thailand as well as the role Malaysia can play in developing the economy in southern Thailand which it is hoped would assist in resolving the political crisis in the area. 

 

The visit would further enhance the warm and cordial bilateral relations between Malaysia and Thailand and would pave the way towards diversifying areas of cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.
