Essentially, the kind cooperation from fellow Malaysian professional was sought to promote Malaysia and enhance the economic bilateral relations. Their in-depth knowledge would be vital in forwarding the much sought after market information to enable the Government agencies to formulate better strategies to leverage from the prevailing trend in the market.

Other than mingling with the invited guests, the Embassy had also put up a giant screen to televise the second leg of the Suzuki Cup final match between Malaysia and Indonesia held in Jakarta. The enthusiastic Malaysian supporters were relieved to witness Malaysia lifting the said Cup after defeating the opponent 4 - 2 in aggregate.
