PROMOTION OF MALAYSIA BY TOURISM MALAYSIA IN BANGKOK 18 & 19 DECEMBER 2009

Throughout the two-day period, various activities ranging from the promotion of tourism packages by Malaysia Airlines, home-stay programmes, educational tourism in Malaysia etc had been organised by more than 12 participating booths including from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia Airlines, Genting Berhad as well as three home-stay agents. Other than the usual booths, there was also a special traditional music performance performed by a band called Kulintangan brought from Sabah to spice up the ambience and to accord more “Malaysian feeling” to the visitors. In addition to that, there was also a special fashion show displaying the creative collection of Batik by a renowned Malaysian designer Sharifah Kirana Syed Ghazali which managed to attract a lot of attention from the visitors owing to its bold designs and vibrant colours.
