TRADE & INVESTMENT WEEK AT THE UN CONVENTION CENTRE, 27 - 29 JULY 2011

 

The United Nations through its UNESCAP Office in Bangkok had organised the 2nd Trade & Investment Week from 27 - 29 July 2011 which event was tailored towards enhancing dialogue on post-crisis trade and investment opportunities and related issues. It also aimed at formulating policy recommendations and guidance for UNESCAP’s future activities.
 
Malaysia was represented by its Alternate Permanent Representative to UNESCAP in Bangkok and other officers from the Economic section of the Embassy in the meeting. Various issues of mutual concern such as regulatory requirements, greater coordination and trade and investment opportunities in the new decade were discussed by those present.
 
At the side line of the event, Malaysia together with 9 other countries and agencies had also put up their respective booth to promote some of the products and services offered by them at the foyer of the UN Convention Centre in Bangkok, the venue of the event.
