In conjunction with the recently concluded Bangkok International Rugby Tens tournament held on 12 & 13 February 2011 at the renowned Bangkok Pattana School, the COBRA rugby team which represented Malaysia in the tournament had made a stop-by at the Embassy on 14 February 2011. Kudos to the COBRA team for doing Malaysia proud after emerging as the overall winner by collecting the highest points in the tournament which was participated by five other teams including from Sri Lanka. 

 

At the Embassy, the team comprising of 17 players from various sports school around Malaysia and 10 coaches, teachers and physiotherapists was warmly welcomed by the Charge d’Affaires and other staff of the Embassy. That was the second visit by the team after making its debut appearance almost a year ago. A small reception was held in line with Malaysian tradition and more so to provide the platform for both sides to meet and get to know each other better. It was obvious that both sides had seized the opportunity to mingle as warm and cordial atmosphere was evident throughout the 2-hour session.
