Thailand played host to the recently concluded 13^th Asian School Tenpin Bowling Competition which was held from 4 - 12 July 2011 at the Blu-O Esplanade Bowling Centre where Malaysia together with 11 other teams all over Asia competed in the tournament.

 

Prior to the commencement of the competition, the Malaysian team led by its manager visited the Embassy on 5 July 2011 and spent good two hours to mingle with the Ambassador as well as other officers at the Embassy. Other than exchanging views on current developments especially on sports related matters, the event also accorded the Embassy with the opportunity to engage  the athletes who were in the age range of 14 - 17 years old in the usual public diplomacy activities especially in sensitising them on the nature of work at the Embassy and types of assistance that could be offered to fellow Malaysians abroad.
