H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah Meeting with President of Pattani Chamber of Commerce
On 9 April 2026, H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand held a meeting with Mr. Natthanon Pongthanyawiriya, President of Pattani Chamber of Commerce.
Discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in halal food production, agriculture and cultural tourism. Both sides also explored opportunities under regional frameworks such as IMT-GT, highlighting Pattani’s strategic role in connectivity and cross border trade along key economic corridors.
The Malaysian side extended invitations through MATRADE Bangkok to participate in MIHAS 2026, as well as through Agriculture Office in Bangkok for MAHA 2026, as platforms to further promote trade and business collaboration.
The Malaysian side also proposed closer collaboration in tourism promotion, including engagement with Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 and invited the Pattani Chamber to explore opportunities in Malaysia.
