16 -17 April – On the sad demise of H.E. Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia (2003–2009), a book of condolence was opened at the Embassy of Malaysia in Dili.
The Embassy extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Milena Rangel, Vice Minister for ASEAN Affairs, for taking the time to sign the condolence book on 16 April 2025. We are proud to note that during the late Tun Abdullah’s premiership, capacity-building programmes were intensified, from which Timor-Leste greatly benefitted.
We also wish to thank the representative from the Office of the President of the Republic, all Ambassadors, and members of the diplomatic corps, who came to extend their condolences to the people of Malaysia.
