Important Information

  • Types of Malaysia Certificate: Birth / Death and Marriage Certificate only
  • Both mail and in-person applications are permitted.
  • It is recommended to obtain multiple copies as a safeguard against misplacement.

Required Documents

  1. Original and photocopy of certificate
  2. Processing Fee: USD 13.00 per translation
         In-person: Payable in cash (exact amount only; no change will be provided)
         By mail: Money Order or Cashier’s Check made payable to Consulate General of Malaysia
  3. Return Postage: One (1) prepaid Priority Mail Express Flat Rate Envelope (USD 33.40) available from the U.S. Postal Service
    Applicants residing in U.S. Territories outside of the main States (e.g., Guam, Marshall Islands) must provide a self-addressed prepaid shipping label from their preferred courier
  4. Processing Time: 3-5 business days
