ATTESTATION OF MALAYSIAN DOCUMENTS

 

NOTE:  

  1. The applicant must be present at the Consulate General of Malaysia, New York for the purpose of attestation.
  2. Please bring/submit the following:

Malaysian documents to be attested (only official documents issued in Malaysia)

 

2.

Original and one (1) copy of applicant’s Malaysian / foreign passport

 

3.

Original and one (1) copy of applicant’s Malaysian Identification Card (MyKad) (for Malaysian only)

 

4.

Cover letter (with official letterhead) from the company/organisation requesting for attestation (if applicable)

 

5.

Fee of USD5.00 in cash or money order (for each signature required from the Consular officer) made payable to Consulate General of Malaysia. (Money order is accepted ONLY FROM The United States Postal Service, Western Union or MoneyGram)

 

 

LEGALIZATION OF US DOCUMENTS

 

NOTE:

 

  1. The US documents to be legalized have to be certified by a local notary public and further legalized by the city’s relevant authorities.
  2. The processing time for application by mail is five (5) business days after the receiving date by the Consulate General of Malaysia, New York.
  3. Only applicable to document(s) issued in the 17 States under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Malaysia, New York: Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
