30 MAY 2020 - ADVISORY: PROTESTS OVER RACISM AND POLICE BRUTALITY IN THE UNITED STATES
In view of protests over claims of racism and police brutality in various cities across the United States, the Embassy of Malaysia urges Malaysian citizens in the United States to remain vigilant and exercise increased caution in order to ensure their safety and well-being. Malaysian citizens are advised to avoid areas of protests, stay at home as much as possible, and abide by curfews imposed by the local authorities, where relevant. Those who have yet to register with the Embassy are advised to do so, in case of any emergency.
So far, the Embassy of Malaysia has not received any report or notification of Malaysian citizens who have been harmed or injured due to the ongoing protests.
