CHINESE NEW YEAR OPEN HOUSE AT THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington, D.C., Mr. Ilango Karuppannan hosted a Chinese New Year Celebration reception on 6 February 2009.
In his remarks, CDA a.i said that this is the first one for 2009 of the many “Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia” undertaken by the Malaysian government. More than 100 people that consisted of family and friends of the Malaysian community attended the Chinese New Year celebration. Guests of the celebration came mostly from the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.
The Embassy staff and Malaysians living in and around Washington, D.C. were invited to the event.
