CSIS HOSTS CLOISTER PROGRAM AND INTERVIEW WITH MALAYSIAN AMBASSADOR

 

On 10 September 2012, CSIS hosted a Cloister roundtable discussion with His Excellency Datuk Othman Hashim, Malaysian Ambassador to the U.S.  The Cloister program is a private, top-level, off the record discussions by the Southeast Asia programme at CSIS for senior statesmen and policymakers.  Attendees to the roundtable discussion were from the private sector, academia, think tanks and various Government departments.  Questions posed to the Ambassador during the discussion were wide-ranging, from TPP to Malaysia's bilateral relations with the U.S.  The Cloister session was followed by a interview of the Ambassador by Mr. Murray Hiebert, Deputy Director and Senior Fellow of CSIS' Southeast Asia programme.
