EMBASSY CLUB BIDS ADIEU TO AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE ILANGO
Wednesday, 6 January 2010 - The Embassy Club in Washington, D.C. organized a luncheon to bid farewell to its President Ambassador-Designate Ilango Karuppanan. Ambassador Ilango will be departing for the warmer shores of Lebanon in the middle of this month. In the speech by TYT Dato’ Sri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis, also the Patron of the Embassy Club, Ambassador Ilango’s three and a half year service at Malawakil Washington, D.C. and his exemplary service to the country was highlighted. In his remarks during the event, Ambassador Ilango thanked TYT Ambassador for his strong leadership and the Embassy staff for making his tenure as DCM here a memorable one.
