EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA HOSTS TALENTCORP EVENT

 

On Saturday, 22 September 2012, the Embassy of Malaysia co-hosted a briefing and dinner with TalentCorp for members of the Malaysian community and students in the Washington D.C. area and the surrounding states.  In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Shahril Effendi Abd. Ghany, Deputy Chief of Mission, highlighted the important role played by TalentCorp in encouraging Malaysians overseas to return home to participate in Malaysia's economic development.  Mr. John Mahmood Merican, CEO of TalentCorp provided a briefing and presentation on the objectives and activities of TalentCorp.  This was followed by a question and answer session on a wide range of topics.  As many as 80 Malaysians attended the event, with students from various universities.
