MALAWAKIL WASHINGTON, D.C. HOSTS ITS FIRST WEB CONFERENCE WITH CONSULATES/OFFICES IN U.S.

 

Wednesday, 6 January 2010 - TYT Dato' Sri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis chaired the Heads of Department (HOD) meeting yesterday.  It was the first time that Malawakil has linked up with the Consulates in New York, Los Angeles and the MSD Office in Chicago via web conferencing for an HOD meeting.  TYT Ambassador has been regularly using the "Skype" programme to keep in touch with the people in Malaysia and he felt it would be an excellent way to facilitate communications between with the various Missions in the US.  TYT Ambassador took the opportunity to wish on behalf of Foreign Minister YB Dato' Sri Anifah Aman all Consulates a happy new year as well as run through various issues with them.  It is hoped that with the use of web conferencing for the HOD meetings that greater coordination will be infused in the activities of Malaysian representation in the U.S.
