VISIT OF THE CHIEF SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA, 24-28 MAY 2011

 Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Mohd. Sidek Hassan, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, conducted a working visit to Washington, D.C. from 24 to 28 May 2011.  During the visit, the Chief Secretary held meetings with senior officials from the State Department, including Dr. Kurt Campbell, the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs as well as Ms. Judith McHale, Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs.  He also held meetings with Mr. Demetrios Marantis, the Deputy US Trade Representative as well as Mr. Jeffrey Zients, the Deputy Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.  Tan Sri Sidek also held meetings with members of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) as well as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).  He also took the opportunity to meet with various corporations with plans to invest further in the Malaysian economy.
