WORKING VISIT OF THE HONORABLE TAN SRI MUHYIDDIN YASSIN, DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER TO WASHINGTON D.C., 26-29 JUNE 2011

The Honorable Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, made a working visit to Washington, D.C. from 26 to 29 June 2011. The Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by senior officials from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. The Deputy Prime Minister hosted an informal breakfast with senior officials of the U.S. Administration as well as visited the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of College Park, Maryland. On the evening of Monday, 27 June 2011. H.E. Dato’ Sri Dr. Jamaluddin Jarjis, Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States of America and Y.Bhg. Datin Sri Dr. Kalsom Ismail hosted a dinner in honor of the Deputy Prime Minister and Y.A.Bhg. Puan Sri Norainee Abd. Rahman. The Honorable Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was also the guest of honor during the official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of BIO Exhibition 2011. At the exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister also officiating the opening of the Bio-XCell Booth as well as hosted a curtain raiser of BioMalaysia 2011 and 2011 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy. The Deputy Prime Minister also was the guest of honor at a roundtable luncheon hosted by the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and hosted a private dinner with think tanks.
