Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Ambrin Buang, Auditor General of Malaysia, made a working visit to Washington, D.C. from 13 to 17 July 2011. The Auditor General was accompanied by senior officials from the National Audit Department. During the visit, the Auditor General paid a courtesy call on his U.S. counterpart, Mr. Gene Dodaro, Comptroller General of the Government Accountability Office, who also hosted a lunch with the delegation. During the visit, the Auditor General also held meetings with officials from the GAO’s Strategic Planning and External Liaison Office, the Office of Forensic Audits and Special Investigations and gave a lecture to the International Fellows Class of 2011. The Auditor General also chaired an exit conference with several officials from the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington, D.C.
