On 3 February 2026, YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, held a courtesy meeting with Senator Pete Ricketts (Republican-Nebraska) in the latter’s capacity as a Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
Both sides exchanged views on efforts to further strengthen Malaysia–U.S. cooperation in the areas of politics, economy, defense, and security.
