On the sidelines of his working visit to Boston, on 4 August 2026, Ambassador Tan Sri Shahrul Ikram took the opportunity to meet with Mr. Samir Ashrup and Ms. Zarina Samai, two Malaysian professionals residing in the city. 

For the Ambassador, no trip outside of Washington, D.C. is complete without reaching out to the local community. The interaction provided a valuable space to exchange perspectives on their lived experiences in the U.S., underscoring his steadfast commitment to maintaining active, approachable ties with the diaspora wherever his travels take him.
