The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2026) will be held from September 23 to 26, 2026, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. It is the world's largest platform for the halal industry, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, investors, buyers, and government representatives from around the world.
According to Ulugbek Aslanov, a representative of the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) based in Tashkent, despite the steady development of trade and economic relations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan, the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains significant, particularly in the rapidly growing halal sector.
"Uzbekistan is currently undergoing large-scale modernization and improvement of its halal system, opening up new opportunities for deepening partnership with Malaysia, a global leader in this field. We look forward to further strengthening our cooperation and achieving mutually beneficial results," he noted.
MIHAS 2026 is organized by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) with the support of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and is one of the most reputable international platforms for promoting halal products and services in the global market.
The exhibition will showcase 12 key areas of the halal economy: food and beverages, manufacturing technologies, education, pharmaceuticals, professional services and solutions, Muslim fashion, franchising, media and entertainment, Muslim tourism, e-commerce, Islamic finance, and cosmetics and personal care products.
To date, 14 companies from Uzbekistan will participate in the International Sourcing Programme in the upcoming MIHAS 2026 that will allow domestic producers and exporters to establish direct contacts with foreign partners, expand export opportunities, and strengthen their position in the global halal market.
Since its founding in 2004, MIHAS has established itself as a leading international platform for the halal industry. Over the years, it has attracted over 8,200 exhibitors from 44 countries, and over 400,000 visitors from 88 countries. Today, MIHAS remains a key global platform for developing international cooperation, trade, and investment in the halal economy
