YB Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, Minister at The Prime Minister Department (Religious Affairs) on behalf of the Government of Malaysia attended The First International Islamic Civilization Forum, upon the invitation of The Government of The Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Forum, which was under the theme “The Path of Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment” was held on 8-10 July 2026 in three cities – Tashkent, Samarkand and Termez. Many Muslim leaders, scholars as well as representative from other faith attended the forum.
At the Forum, YB Dr. Zulkifli Hasan was given the honour of delivering a keynote address during Plenary Session III - Religious and Educational Reforms In New Uzbekistan: Innovative Ideas And Strategic Directions of the Third Renaissance. He delivered a speech entitled “The Legacy of Imam al-Maturidi : A Foundation of Moderation, Tolerance and Enlightenment”
