QUARANTINE CHARGES ON FOREIGN NATIONALS ENTERING MALAYSIA BEGINNING 24 SEPTEMBER 2020

 

The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) on 18 September 2020 has decided that following the quarantine procedures imposed upon entering Malaysia, foreign nationals including Malaysian Permanent Residents are subjected to bear the full cost of quarantine without any subsidies from the Government of Malaysia, amounting to RM4,700 effective from 24 September 2020.

 

2.         The quarantine charges must be paid to the officials from the Ministry of Health, Malaysia at the entry point upon arrival in Malaysia. Payment Receipt will be provided to the individual for the check-in process at designated hotels.

 

3.         Notwithstanding the above, Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) pass holders including diplomats who are allowed for home quarantine are exempted from the quarantine charges.

 

4.         The details of the quarantine charges for foreign nationals are as follows:

5.         The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia has notified the above information to all diplomatic missions in Malaysia on 23 September 2020.
