On 8 September 2025, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a reception to commemorate Malaysia’s 68th National Day and 62nd Malaysia Day at the Caravelle Saigon Hotel.

The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, together with distinguished officials from the Vietnamese government, members of the diplomatic corps, the Malaysian community, business associations, and friends of Malaysia.

Guests were treated to an authentic Malaysian culinary experience, showcasing the nation’s rich and diverse heritage. The evening’s highlight was the unique and heartwarming ‘Toast with Teh Tarik’, Malaysia’s beloved national drink, which added a special cultural touch to the celebration.
