AFRICA-ASEAN BUSINESS EXPO (AABE), JOHANNESBURG, 6-8 NOVEMBER 2017
AFRICA-ASEAN BUSINESS EXPO (AABE), JOHANNESBURG, 6-8 NOVEMBER 2017. Four (4) Malaysian companies namely Fraser & Neave (F&N), Life (Region Food Industries Sdn Bhd), Hua Huat Manufacturing and Kian Joo Can Factory participated in at the Africa-ASEAN Business Expo (AABE) in Johannesburg from 6 to 8 November 2017. The opening ceremony held at the Sandton Convention Center was officiated by the Honourable Ms. Lindiwe Zulu, Minister of Small Business Development of the Republic of South Africa. Also present were H.E. Bene M’Poko, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps who is also Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), H.E. Suprato Martosetomo, ASEAN Pretoria Committee Chairperson, all Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Mission, diplomats and business representatives. Mr. Dzulazhar Musa, Chargé d'Affaires represented the Malaysian High Commission. The expo is designed to be the strategic platform linking businesses between the African Union (AU) and ASEAN, via the commercial hubs of Africa and ASEAN respectively. Asia’s share of African imports increased from just 17% in 2000 to 21% in 2014. Currently more than 300 companies from ASEAN operate in Africa. High Commission of Malaysia Pretoria 15 November 2017
