NOTICE REVISION OF VISA-EXEMPTION PERIOD FOR MALAYSIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS TRAVELLING TO THAILAND
With reference to the announcement published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 31 August 2026 by the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand, Malaysian passport holders are exempted from visa requirements for entry into the Kingdom of Thailand and will be permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 30 days.
The revised permitted period of stay is as follows:
- Current permitted period of stay: 60 days
- New permitted period of stay: 30 days
- The 30-day stay period will apply from 15 September 2026.
Malaysian nationals travelling to Thailand are advised to take note of the revised permitted period of stay and to ensure compliance with the prevailing immigration requirements of the Kingdom of Thailand.
