PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION OF MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT

 

The Malaysian International Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of travelling abroad. The 48 pages passport is valid for five years.

DOCUMENTS TO PRODUCE

  1. Original & photocopy of Malaysia Identity Card
  2. Original and photocopy of Singapore PR Identity Card/ Employment Pass/ Dependent Pass/ 'S' Pass/ Work Permit/ Student Pass/ Long Term Pass as proof of residing in Singapore. 
  3.  Current International or Restricted Passport if available.
  4.  Holders of Temporary Identity Card JPN.KPPK 09 need to produce their Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate during application.
  5. Holders of Temporary Identity Card JPN.KPPK 11 have to be certified by the National Registration Department and need to produce their Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate during application.
  6. Malaysian parents who have renounced their Malaysian Citizenship are required to bring 'Annex A' of citizenship renunciation and their Singapore Identity Card.

PRESENCE OF APPLICANT

 

·   Applicant above 18 years has to be present for submission and collection of passport.

·   Applicant below 18 years has to be present for submission and collection of passport. and accompanied by one of their Malaysian parents.

·         Applicant below 2 years need not be present for passport collection. The passport can be collected by one of their Malaysian parents.

 

MALAYSIAN CITIZEN IN SINGAPORE REGISTRATION

 

All Malaysians living abroad are encouraged to register themselves at the nearest Malaysian Embassy/High Commission as stipulated in item 5 of the Malaysia Passport that reads "Malaysian residing abroad must register with the respective Malaysian Mission Office". Malaysians can now register online using the E-Consular Application (please use your IC Number for identification) at the following link: https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/ and submit together with passport application form at the Consular/Immigration Section, High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore.

 

SUBMISSION AND COLLECTION HOURS (MONDAY - THURSDAY)

 

Submission        : 8.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon

Collection Day    : Two working days after the submission date

Collection Time   : 2.30 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.

RM 200.00 - Adult (13-59 years old)

GENERAL STATEMENT

  • The use of the word of ‘anak lelaki’ (AL) and ‘anak perempuan (AP) for Indian and non-muslims citizens on the main page has been repealed but disclosed in the ‘OBSERVATIONS’ page.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, his/her parents Malaysian Identity Card is required.
  • Malaysian passport unclaimed after three months from the date specified in the receipt of payment wil be fortified and disposed of. The applicant must submit a new application and it wll be processed accordingly including payment.
  • Particulars of children (including newborns) will no longer be included in the parent’s passport. The child will be issued a separate passport. A change of photograph for children two years and above can be made. Submit two recent photographs and birth certificate (original and a copy). The applicant and his/her children must appear before the Immigration officer.
  • Under the Guardianship Act 1961 – 1999 amendment, consent can be given by the mother for the child under 18 years old.
  • Passports reported lost and rediscovered is not valid and the information will be forwarded to INTERPOL.
