APPLICATION OF PASSPORT

Requirements

i.              Malaysian citizen

ii.            The applicant must appear in person at the Embassy of Malaysia

 

Passport Fees:

a

Applicant between 13 year old until 59 year old

PHP3,000.00

b

Senior citizen (above 60 years old)

PHP1,500.00

c

Children (12 years and below)

PHP1,500.00

d

Students in a degree program studying abroad (below 21 years old)

PHP1,500.00

Note:

 A.   Degree Students under 21 years old pursuing their study at an Institute of Higher Education abroad are required to submit the following supporting documents:-

 

i.              Offer Letter from their college or university / scholarship letter / sponsorship;

ii.            Receipt of registration fee

iii.           Matrix student card

 

B.   Physically challenged applicants are required to attach the Disabled Person Card issued by the Social Welfare Department as evidence

 

C.   “Guardian”  in  relation  to  a  child,  means  any  person  or  body of persons other than its natural parents, who has custody of the child;

Additional Requirement:

(1)    A completed passport application form (obtained at the Embassy);

(2)   Applicant / Parent(s) and child shall be present at the Embassy during submission

(3)    3 pieces of recent passport size pictures (3.5 cm x 5.0 cm with white background) as per strictly the following format;

Format photo specification:

-          Applicants should wear dark-coloured clothing covering shoulders and chest

-          Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera with a neutral facial expression, both eyes open and mouth closed;

-          Do not wear a hat or head covering/obscures hair or hairline unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.

-          Contact lenses and spectacles are not allowed while taking pictures

-          The applicants who wear veil (tudung) are required to wear dark-coloured veil

Please be advised that passport renewal processing time takes  three (3) months from the date of sending the diplomatic pouch. All new application of passports / renewal of passport, will be sent by Diplomatic Pouch on 10th of each month. Application of passport beyond the 10th of each month will be send by the following month. Malaysian are strongly advised to travel back to Malaysia to apply for a new passport should they wish to get the passport urgently or within the processing time. Request for a follow–up at the Embassy of Malaysia on passport readiness within the period of processing will not be entertained.
